It is now the end of July and the time has amazingly flown by. I am now very familiar with the SPAW sub-programme under which I have been working for the past one and a half months.

I have been in charge of creating a policy brief and a factsheet for a specific SPAW project over the last two weeks. So it has been nice using my policy expertise to write that.

Other than those two projects I have been helping with translation work, working with interns from different sub-programmes and learning a lot more about CEP in general. During periods where there’s not that much to do it is always good to go around and see if others have work for you to whether they are from the same program or a different one.

Challenges Faced
In Jamaica you get a lot of 1 dollar coins back when you shop at stores, but then when you use them, everyone hates them… What am I supposed to do with these coins now? I guess that’s why all the desks have stashes of 1 dollar coins in a random drawer that previous interns have accumulated. I will also be adding mine to the desk collection.

Lessons Learned
Bananas = 5 for $100 dollas. Plantains 3 for $100 dollas.
