June 20, 2012
This week was a busy one since both Christine O’Sullivan (Programme Assistant SPAW) and Alessandra Vanzella-Khouri (Programme Officer for SPAW) would leave the upcoming week.
The first thing I did was finishing updating the SPAW list of brochures, books and other documents. Since several AMEP brochures, books and other documents ended on the SPAW shelves, Christine asked me to separate SPAW documents from AMEP documents.
I also worked with Christine to review the SPAW website article. Since the SPAW website is supposed to be available in English, French and Spanish, I also translated into French what I had written for the SPAW website, as suggested by Tess Cieux (Programme Officer for CETA).
I was also asked by Christine to summarize the Grants’ Agreements under the form of Excel Spreadsheets and to review the CEP-based links quoted in the ‘Building Capacity and Networking among Managers – Essential Elements for Large-scale, Transboundary EBM through Effective MPA Networks’ article.
Challenges faced: Since the SPAW website is not updated yet, it was sometimes difficult to find the correct links to replace the dead links mentioned by the ‘Building Capacity and Networking among Managers – Essential Elements for Large-scale, Transboundary EBM through Effective MPA Networks’ article.
Lessons learnt: I learnt to summarize important information under the form of Excel Spreadsheet and I became more confident with this software.
