Coastal Monitoring

Coastal monitoring in the three participating countries to monitor pesticides runoff to the Caribbean Sea.

 

The Coastal Monitoring Programme deals the establishment of a baseline to identify and quantify the presence of pesticides residue in the coastal zones.

A training workshop was held in Costa Rica in June 2008 in which participants from the project countries participated. The course focused on sampling, preparation and analysis of organic pollutants in environmental samples (course manual).
