GIS-based database of the Maritime Traffic in the WCR
RAC/REMPEITC-Caribe developed a comprehensive GIS-based database of the Maritime Traffic in the Wider Caribbean, primarily to address Risk Assessment associated with the shipping activities in the region, and for other purposes related to the protection and development of the marine environment in the Wider Caribbean Region.
Before using this tool, you must have read and agreed to the Terms and Conditions.
To request a username and a password, please send us an email indicating your name, organization, position, country and contact information: rempeitc@cep.unep.org.
This tool provides a visualization of the aggregated routes and the traffic density, as well as ports activities and other data useful for oil spill risk assessment. It allows applying filters (type of vessels, ports of departure etc.) and several display options are proposed. The user has the possibility to export the data and to generate reports.
The tool requires the latest version of your chosen internet browser.
