Major Issues in the Management of Enclosed or Semi-Enclosed Seas, With Particular Reference to the Caribbean Sea

In this study, attention is directed to the problems and issues that emerge in the management of enclosed or semi-enclosed seas, with particular reference to the Mediterranean Sea and the Black Sea. The management regime of the Caspian Sea will also be explored, notwithstanding the absence of consensus with respect to its geo-legal status, the overriding objective being to identify within the regime that has been developed for its management, approaches that might be of relevance to the management of other closely related geographical features and to the general problematique of enclosed or semi enclosed seas, with particular reference to the Caribbean Sea.
