Announcements

In accordance with the priorities established by the Government of the Region within the Action Plan for the Conservation of Marine Mammals in the Wider Caribbean, established under the framework of the Protocol on Specially Protected Areas and Wildlife in the Wider Caribbean Region (SPAW), UNEP-CEP with the support of the National Environmental Authority of the Government of the Republic of Panama will be organizing a Workshop on Marine Mammal Watching in the Wider Caribbean Region.  The Workshop is being funded by the U.S. National Fish and Wildlife Foundation, U.S. Marine Mammal Commission, the French Marine Protected Area Agency, UNEP-CEP, SPAW RAC, Humane Society International, International Fund for Animal Welfare and the Pacific Whale Foundation.  The Workshop will take place at the Radisson Summit Hotel and Golf Panama in Panama City, Panama from the 19 -22 of October 2011.
