In recognition of International Day for Biological Diversity 2016 (May 22), and as part of UNEP-CEP's efforts to promote awareness, please join us on Thursday May 5, 2016 for an exciting free webinar on endemic birds of the Caribbean organized by BirdsCaribbean.

As part of their ongoing Caribbean Endemic Bird Festival activities, BirdsCaribbean is hosting the webinar under the theme for this year’s festival “Spread Your Wings for Bird Conservation”. In this webinar, learn about Caribbean endemic birds, why they are important, what threatens them (focusing especially on the issue of illegal capture and smuggling) the international and local laws that help protect birds, and what you can do to help.

UNEP CEP will participate in this webinar as Mrs. Alessandra Vanzella-Khouri, Program Officer for the SPAW sub-programme, will be the special guest speaker.
